Girolamo Russo Feudo di Mezzo Etna Rosso, Sicily, Italy 2022 Saint-Romain abundant cherry and raspberry fruitComposed primarily of Nerello Mascalese, with less than 5% Nerello Cappuccio, this wine comes from the Feudo di Mezzo contrada in Castiglione di Sicilia, at 670m (2,200 feet) altitude. The grapes are partially destemmed and undergo a 15 day skin maceration before aging for 18 months in 1,000L barrels, enhancing its depth and structure. The 22 vintage showcases more expressive fruit, smoother tannins, and a slightly fuller texture compared to the 21s.
