and Sercialinho (grown on sand)
a truly chuggable red
and Santa Barbara County oak sprinkled hills
many over 60 years old—some nearing a century—planted in red
The palate is very well-balanced and precise but stricter than the regular cuvée
2019 Anders Frederik Steen 'Smell of the Pine Trees ', VDF White Domaine du Pelican and Sercialinho (grown on sand)A blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and Gewrztraminer grown by the Bannwarth family in Obermorschwihr. Each wine was vinified separately, aged over four years without topping up, and finally assembled before bottling in spring 2024. As deliciously aromatic as the name implies, this is a deep, layered oxidative wine that reveals itself slowly over time complex, textural, and built for patient drinking.
