In 1903 he formed the company Buick Manufacturing Company. By 1908 it had become the No. 1 producer of automobiles in America surpassing the combined production of Ford and Cadillac. Due to financial difficulties it was incorporated into General Motors (GM) Conglomerate in 1908.
