Carrier measures 8 1/2" long x 5 3/4" wide
and with a great pencil drawing of a massive arrow attack on the back of the hygiene book
and care of "Grandfather Clough"
Beautiful 19th C. Folk Art Painted Miniature Dome Top Chest movable legs who carved this one inSo lovely and special feeling, I believe this miniature folk art painted dome top chest is Northern European, and I'd guess German, as to me the painted houses on it remind me very much of early German Erzgebirge ones. (A similar one, sold at Skinner for $300+, was attributed as Northern European.) Wonderfully painted on every side, with the topiary esque green trees against white with blue sky above and yellow ground below especially doing it for me.
