No Relief! (22) Old Cast Iron Found Object 1827 I am not quite sure

I am not quite sure why I find this drawing/painting so satisfying

and I assume by the same maker

just amazed by the fineness of their incised decoration

Overall: 8 1/8" t x 5 1/4" d x 2 11/16" w

and characterizing this in my mind as a "transformation" card-- a type of playing card where the pips are incorporated into an image

Whatever the case, it's a perfect found object to me, with the No (as in No. 22) next to the RELIEF reading as No Relief which of course often seems to be the case these days on numerous sorts of levels!
