Description
it should not seem too surprising that Paul Klee and Piet Mondrian were both products of early kindergarten
and this little table is great example of why
Executed in graphite across two sheets of lined paper taped together on the backside
with some darkening around the edges and some scattered light stains on the reverse
I don't know who this man was
Wilma Powlesland's Memo Pad With Marvelous Drawings by Genleve Baldyga, East Syracuse, NY German notebook it should not seem tooI paid a fair bit for this one, but I couldn't walk away and anything that delivers pure and total delight these days seems worth its weight in gold. Notes on the inside of the cover tell us it was a young Wilma Powlesland's memo pad, but the drawings were the work of Genleve Baldyga (and there's a self portrait included.) Photos give a good sense, most pages documented. And then a series of spelling lists at the end, with some good and evocative word
