Sweet Old Whittled, Jointed Man with Newsboy Cap Takeo Takei but the tip of one

but the tip of one mouthpart on the underside is broken (not visible when worn) and it appears to have lost to the very end tip of the wings

I purchased the piece from the estate of a dancer/choreographer in Boston's Beacon Hill neighborhood

they were a predecessor to jack straws and pick up sticks

I do believe is at very least that old

coarse horsehair bristles (with just a few lighter mixed in)
