The wonderfully gestural surface decoration evinces a vertical sequence of blooms

or whatever

but for an unglazed middle section decorated with bands of blue squiggles in slight relief

Wooden Barrel Box for Steel Carpet Tacks accordian box 5 3/4" in diameterI'm a sucker for a barrel shaped box, and this is a sweet little one from early 1900's made for Atlas Tack Company, Boston, MA to hold steel carpet tacks. The tacks themselves are long gone, but it makes a nice container now for needles or pills or other small things. Good antique condition with some dryness and light cracking to the unfinished wood. 2" tall x 1 7 8" wide.
