And I know from the seller that it was her great grandmother who made it

This definitely has age to it

but still lovely and the hooked clasp closes nicely to make it very useable as a pillbox still

I purchased him from an expert in the history of costume

I love that "X" for the mouth, and those eyes looking forward, and that one very curled back rear paw. And of course the energetic scribbling all over. Framed: 11 3 4" x 9 1 4". Drawing, black marker on white paper: 10 3 4" x 8 1 4". Very good vintage condition. Framed as found, behind glass in an inexpensive frame. Some glare caught in photos.
