Signed Folk Art Carving of Pointing Hand boy in bed and the snake-like "handle" allowsI found this carving at an antiques shop in Maine, along with a carved spruce gum box listed separately, and have a bit of feeling that they were done by the same maker. The box held a deck of early 20th century alphabet cards, so I might guess that both this and the box date to around then, though I am not 100% sure. Carved into the underside of the base of the hand is what looks to be "MC11," perhaps the initials of the carver and the year 1911. In
