Description
one for the blade--it is structurally sound and ready to put to use opening the bills
but I love the relative humility of this one (and its great silhouette)
with a minor hairline crack on the base just below where it meets the bowl
to remind one to be a trusty friend

Esteri Tumula "Pastoraali" Arabia, Finland Porcelain Vase leather box one for the blade--it isQuintessentially mid century Scandinavian, this is a "Pastoraali" pattern large porclain vase designed by Esteri Tomula for Arabia Finland c. 1965. The illustrative surface design, in black and blue against bright white and covering nearly every inch of it, features a young woman with quite a sculptural head of hair (!) and long dress patterned with curlicues surrounded by a dense pattern of flowers, leaves, and birds. I found it at an estate sale
