ripe and earthy red pinot fruit that displays a touch of forest floor that slides into delicious

dark chocolate and anise

mouthdusting tannins

even delicious now

Jonata, Sangre Vintage:2018 It is the kind ofMatt Dees is the winemaker on a property originally invested in by Charles Banks and Stan Kroenke (in the same stable as Screaming Eagle at one stage). Blackish purple. Not very balanced. Sweetness at the start and then a hot chewy end. Liquorice. Fades a bit fast. A bit fossilised. Tastes as though it hasnt evolved for while. Is this an attempt at a Guigal La La style? Not for me at the moment.
