Description

On this day

weight and power and overall this is potentially terrific

A highly spiced and notably more elegant nose offers up aromas of essence of black pinot fruit

ephemeral spice

serious and beautifully long if ever-so-mildly warm finale

La Spinetta, Barbaresco Gallina other_regions On this dayMedium red. Aromatic, expressive aromas of cherry, rose petal, orange peel and minerals. Juicy, bright and gripping, but still in a distinctly fruity style. Substantial building tannins coat the teeth and give the finish a youthfully aggressive quality. Following the Bordini, this seems quite closed today. Stephen Tanzer
