Black painted tin back
who I don't see too often
I had this old black and gold painted wooden frame sitting around waiting for just the right thing
together completing the year
On one of the bits of paper encasing hair she went so far as to note it as clipped on a Tuesday morning
Red Cross, 10 Cents, Metal Lock Box Turned Donation Collection Bank, WW2 Era Panji Black painted tin backFound in Vermont, I presume this "make do" donation box is WW2 period, when dime collecting for the war effort was at its height. Many good things rolled into one here, that bold red painted Red Cross high among them! The 10 c was done with white tape, medical tape I might guess. Adaptations born of necessity, turning a small metal lock box into a donation collection bank, which feels both very of its time and also very timely. 5" x 3 9 16" x 2 11
