I’m completely charmed by this vintage Japanese round lacquer Bento box with its hand-painted figure pulling a little boat

And with its pretty gold-toned wheat design in relief

and it looks like Dewey Gallup

and I believe this pair are probably a hundred years old at least

Pretty great head of hair too, and nice articulated fingers on her clasped hands. 7 1 8" t x 1 3 4" w x 1 5 8" d and in great vintage condition. Signed with an H on the rear side of the base.
