intense and mineral-driven broad- shouldered flavors manage to display both good richness and delineation on the more overtly austere

It's not as intense as the bigger vintages but is beautifully precise

pure and wonderfully elegant if distinctly restrained nose reluctantly presents its aromas of citrus

Coutet Cuvee Madame Vintage:2001 830 cases madeThe 1995 Coutet Cuve Madame has a less flamboyant bouquet than other vintages, quite tight at first with dried honey, pain dpices, barley sugar and wax resin aromas. The palate is well balanced with a viscous, waxy textured opening, quite spicy in style, very well balanced and fresh, quite mineral driven, with that Manuka honey lingering long on the finish.
