See photos -- there are a couple of whitish/grayish areas to the glaze on the interior of the bowl as well as what seems to be a very tiny shard of stoneware stuck to the surface
I found this charming little wooden Japanese Kokeshi-type boy on turtle in a box of odds and ends at the estate sale of a man who had served in Japan during WWII and brought a lot back with him
I'm not sure that I could love this old painting more

I think this non preciousness is made even better when the boards tells stories of the people who made and used them,
