circa 1950-60 I believe
created for his kids--and I am pretty certain had quite a lot of fun making
Each measures 1 5/8” tall x 2 3/4” wide x 1 3/8” deep
Lobster: 2 1/2" across x 1/4" tall (standing on 3 sweet little legs)
with the only visible flaw being a tiny chip at the very tip of the peak of one of the dark cranes
Black and White CENTRAL Real Street Sign vintage tabletop sculpture circa 1950-60 I believeI like utilitarian signs that have the capacity to signal meaning based on context, like this vintage Central street sign, which one might use to signify the operational (or decision making) hub of home or office. The ground reads white but is also reflective, and the black letters (cutouts, adhered to the surface) are the perfect standard street sign font. Just classic. Made of steel I believe, heavy and not pliable, with two holes at top and bottom
