Silver(plate) Madonna, Jenning Brothers Statuette, Earlyish 20th Century be mine very poetic feeling to me

very poetic feeling to me and quite striking

two of them (8 1/4" x 6 3/4") with 18 pages

but how could I look at the line of that spout and not bring it home

Sometimes when I am out hunting for things I find something that just feels good to carry around in my hand

and all the more of a mystery

Silver(plate) Madonna, Jenning Brothers Statuette, Earlyish 20th Century be mine very poetic feeling to meI came across this Madonna at a shop close to me and she struck me as just the right thing to keep around. The silver tone has a really nice softness and smoothness about it, and she looks a lot like a Grecian goddess to me! Stamped JP on the reverse, for Jenning Brothers of Bridgeport, CT, which from what I can find operated from the late 19th to early 20th century, producing jewelry boxes, animal figurines, religious busts, and tableware. 4 1 2" t x
