One constructed of silvered bronze with multi coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of an exceptionally detailed German national eagle in mid flight, topped by a crown, clutching a red and white enameled Cross Patte in its talons, the reverse with a clip hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 55 mm (w) x 30 mm (h), in
