Constructed of silvered bronze with gilt, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a diving gilt Assmann style Luftwaffe eagle, on top of a background bearing an engraved inscription of TREUE UM TREUE (LOYALTY BEGETS LOYALTY), the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 40. 98 mm (w) x
