Constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a map of Crimea and southern Ukraine, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by dates 1941 1942, affixed with all four attachment prongs to a magnetic metal backplate with an intact paper backer and dark grey wool liner indicating Luftwaffe issue, unmarked, the shield measuring 52. 38 mm (w) x 61. 48 mm (h), in extremely fine
