The character first appeared on a Laurel Valentine's Day greeting card in 19721973. At the time, the character was simply called Girl with a Daisy or Strawberry Girl and was depicted holding a daisy while wearing an orange bonnet with a strawberry print on it. In early July 1977, Barbi provided American Greetings four full color leader cards
