Inhabitants of Tierra del Fuego Product:Greetings card to celebrate HRH Silver JubileeInhabitants of Tierra del Fuego, seen by Lieutenant James Cook's Endeavour party in January 1769. The town 'consisted of about twelve or fourteen hovels, of the most rude and inartificial structure that can be imagined forming a kind of cone, like some of our bee hives'. Illustration from An account of the voyages for making discoveries in the southern hemisphere, by John Hawkesworth (London, 1773). Original: engraving. 1773
