Callendar House, Falkirk, Scotland mb-code CSM107112 View of the chime machineCallendar House, Falkirk, Scotland, 1924 1926. Callendar House as it appears today dates from the late 18th century. The estate, previously the home of the Earls of Callendar, was acquired in 1783 by a wealthy Aberdeen coppersmith named William Forbes, who set about transforming the house into a building of the style of a French chateau.
