A 1947 Reliant Van three wheeler Size:S: 36 x 28cm 'Very ColdA 1947 Reliant Van three wheeler. Reliant began producing light vans in 1934. It was not until 1953 that passenger car production was started. From 1938 Reliants make their own engines based on the Austin Seven. The advantage of the 6cwt van was its manoeuvrability, fuel economy and comparatively rapid acceleration.
