Germany, Kriegsmarine. A U-Boat War Badge, by Förster & Barth Auction Archive Erich Essner(U Boot Kriegsabzeichen). Constructed of gilded feinzink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Kriegsmarine eagle clutching a mobile swastika, overlaid by a central U Boat situated over a hollow void, the reverse with a crimped hinge and tapering vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of manufacture by Frster & Barth, Pforzheim,
