Constructed of gilded and silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer style German national eagle, overlaid by a diving German national eagle, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the eagle in position, with a narrow barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics
