the reverse with a central black enameled medallion bearing a silver gilt crowned Bavarian lion within a white enameled border in the form of a buckled belt with silver gilt numbers reading “1866”

(1840 issue). Constructed of bronze, the obverse with a raised leftward facing profile of King Friedrich Wilhelm III, with a central inscription of ERINNERUNG (IN MEMORY), circumscribed by dates of birth and death, the obverse maker marked BRANDT F., measuring 45 mm in diameter, in better than very fine condition.
