Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, around a central Heer style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, the reverse semi hollow, with a narrow barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 42. 34 mm (w) x 53. 95 mm (h), weighing 33. 2 grams, demonstrating loss of finish and minor surface
