Germany, Luftwaffe. An Officer’s Converted Overseas Cap Archive exhibiting pitting(Luftwaffe Schiffchen). An extremely well preserved Luftwaffe Officers overseas cap, constructed of dark grey wool. The cap is fully surrounded with fold down side panels, trimmed along the circumference with a band of silver aluminum wire piping added post manufacture when the owner evidently received a promotion. The peak bears an insignia in the form of a dark grey wool backer overlaid by a machine embroidered silver grey Luftwaffe eagle clutching
