This is an extremely unique and well preserved example of a SS issued decorative gift badge by Otto Gahr, constructed of silver. The obverse depicts a central, richly detailed ship with crew visible on the deck and sails deployed, on top of stylized waves. The ship is in turn circumscribed by a detailed wave design.
