Hemse Mug, Handmade VIKING DRINKING HORNS 2 buttoned chest pocketsThis Viking Age drinking vessel is based on a find from Hemse on Gotland, Sweden. It has a unique design with a handle which is rarely seen in Viking Age finds. The vessel is wholly handmade without a potters wheel, just as the original was made over 1000 years ago. In order to make it more durable and easier to clean, its made from stoneware with a glazed inside. This allows it to be washed in a dish washer and it can also withstand a microwave oven.
