A Second War German Allied POW Stalag VIII C ID Tag Auction dated 6 April 1945In stamped aluminum, measures 60 mm (w) x 40 mm (h), impressed STALAG VIIIC No. 71586, slots through the middle and three holes in the corner, rust and some pitting present, near very fine. Footnote: Stalag VIII C was located in Sagan, in modern Poland, adjacent to Stalag Luft III of Great Escape fame. After the Invasion of Poland, it was filled with Polish Prisoners, who shortly after lost their status as POWs and were sent to Labour Camps in
