Interesting example

The Essex Scottish Regimental Departure Banner GTRexclude 127 mm x 250 mmFabricated of painted heavy canvas, double sided, 57x32 inches, with rope weight at bottom, and original pine rod for hanging, colours remain bright, very fine. Footnote: In our opinion, this is likely a departure banner, once displayed in the city of Windsor, Ontario. The Essex Scottish suffered the most casualties of any Canadian regiment during the Second War.
