A bronze gilt Maltese Cross in red enamel, each of the arms finished with two ball finials, four ribbed arches connecting paired points; four double headed crowned eagles with short wings at corners, centrepiece monogram SS surrounded by a ring of laurel, reverse centrepiece shows same monogram SS, marked, evidence of slight scratches on obverse cross arms, correct replacement ribbon, very fine condition.
