Japan, Empire. An Order Of The Rising Sun, V Class, C.1920 certificate_of_authenticity marked "AB" and hallmarked( Kyokujitsu sh). Instituted in 1875 by Emperor Meiji of Japan. Likely of European manufacture, in silver gilt with white, green and violet enamels, red glass cabochon on both sides, a 3 5 3 configuration in the Paulonia flowers designating it as 5th class, measuring 46. 7 mm (w) x 71. 8 mm (h) inclusive of its Paulonia flowers and laterally pierced ball suspension, light contact on the cabochons, lightly soiled original ribbon with hook and eye, near
