A Set of Second War Naval Captain Shoulder Boards United Republic of the obverse bears a crossA set of two shoulder boards denoting the ranking of Captain in the Japanese Navy from the Second World War. The boards are made from a black fabric with two fine gold bullion stripes, each affixed with three cherry blossom insignia and one cherry blossom button. It has a leather reverse and a metal horizontal pin. One of the boards has a leather backing underneath the pin. They measure at 119mm (l) x 41mm (h). Each exhibits slight discolouration and
