Germany, Imperial. A Naval Wound Badge, Gold Grade United Republic of with minor fatigue evident to(Verwundetenabzeichen der Marine in Gold). Constructed of gilded brass, the obverse consisting of an oval chain link wreath, around a central raised anchor overlaid by crossed swords on a pebbled background, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 40. 68 mm (w) x 46. 51 mm (h), weighing 8. 9 grams, in extremely fine condition.
