In cupro nickel, measuring 36. 8 mm (w) x 40. 5 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally pierced ball suspension, very light contact, original ribbon, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Independence Medal was instituted in 1947 by Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan V Abbasi, to commemorate the attainment of independence from Great Britain in 1947.
