Constructed nickel silver with brass, the obverse overlaid by a central medallion bearing a raised firemans helmet, overlaying a crossed axe and pick, circumscribed by an inscription of GOTT ZUR EHR DEN NCHSTEN ZUR WEHR (TO GODS GLORY TO THE DEFENCE OF OUR NEIGHBOURS), the reverse with claws emanating from a functional roller, unmarked, measuring 62 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), an early Third Reich period example produced c. 1934, in
