Naval cadets on board HMS Britannia, Dartmouth, Devon Sadler's Wells The only other American carNaval cadets on board HMS 'Britannia', Dartmouth, Devon, 1895 (1896). Launched in 1860, the battleship HMS 'Prince of Wales' was renamed 'Britannia' and converted into a cadet training ship at Dartmouth in 1869. She continued to fulfil this role until 1905.
