An Order Of Franz Joseph, Officer's Cross, By Vincent Meyer, C.1916 Newly Listed and horizontal pinback(Franz Joseph Orden), Instituted in 1849, the Officer's Cross instituted in 1901. In bronze gilt with red, white, black and green enamels, maker marked "VINC. MAYER'S SHNE WIEN" (Vincent Mayer's Shne) on the reverse cartouche, measuring 40. 2 mm (w) x 74. 7 mm (h), vertical pinback, chipping evident in the green enamels on the War Decoration ribbon, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Order of Franz Joseph was instituted in 1849 and awarded for
