German, Imperial. A Prussian Pilot Badge, "Prinzen" Size, C.1917 Archive with minor enamel damage to(Flugzeugfhrerabzeichen). A prinzen sized badge, constructed of gilded bronze, consisting of a finely detailed oval laurel and oak wreath tied together at the bottom by a bowtie style ribbon, the obverse with a central monoplane flying over a rural landscape, topped by a German State Crown, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, measuring 30. 55 mm (w) x 48. 01 mm (h), weighing 21. 7 grams, circa 1917, in extremely fine condition.
