Electrical machine and Leyden jar batteries at Teyler's Museum divorce 'Catching an elephant'Study of the augmented electrostatic generator with batteries of Leyden jars. The original machine was designed by John Cuthbertson (bap. 1743 d. 1821) for Martin van Marum and installed at Teyler's Museum at Haarlem in the Netherlands. Plate 5 from Tweede vervolg der proefneemingen gedaan met Teyler's electrizeer machine by Martinus van Marum (Haarlemn, 1795). The plate is inscribed 'Pl. V. W. Hendriks, delin. B: de Bakker fecit.'
