Stunning Amahle Carved Wooden African Wall Mask 3/4 Sleeve Approximately 9" H x 6"Expressing Africa's rich mask traditions, Ghanaian artisan Abdul Aziz Mohamadu hand carves this mask of sese wood. Featuring an oval shape, it is painted with a variety of colors while accented with etched line motifs. Embossed brass accenting the eyes gives the mask a textured surface that reflects traditional scarification practices. A clay rub gives this mask an antiqued finish. Mohamadu names it Amahle, meaning 'beautiful ones' in South Africa's
