Vintage Mortician’s Cooling Table Divination Tools and specialized spreadsCooling tables are wooden platforms on which a dead body would be temporarily stored and prepared for a funeral. Ice was placed beneath it to keep the body chilled, slowing the decomposition process. It could also be used to display the body for a viewing if the casket was not delivered in time. This cooling table folds up and has a handle, making it portable for morticians on house calls! Measures 1' 11" x 6' 3".
